Stephen Colbert Is Not Thrilled About Hannukah And Thanksgiving Overlapping This Year

Thanksgiving falls on the first day of Hannukah this year, and Stephen Colbert is not about to take the Festival of Lights overlapping with yet another one of his favorite holidays lying down, no matter how much tryptophan he’s laced with.

In a segment dubbed “Thanksgiving Under Attack,” Colbert launches into an impressive rant about the impossible logistics of the two holidays converging, and what this slippery slope could do to the sacred story of Thanksgiving — not to mention his beloved hand-turkey drawings. His distrust for Hannukah is so great that it eventually culminates with an extremely unfortunate marker mishap that even The Colbert Report‘s brilliant writing staff couldn’t have scripted if they tried.
