The Creators Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ Are Sorry For Making Your Life Hell With The Hodor Thing

The creators of Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night to apologize for killing Hodor. Kind of. Not really. Let’s start over.

The creators of Game of Thrones appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night to apologize for the effect Hodor’s dramatic scene will have on you in your daily life for the next few weeks/month/years, what with every doofus with their parents’ HBO Go password shouting “Hodor” at you every time they want you to “hold the door.” If this hasn’t happened to you yet, wait. It probably will. Do you have a friend who kept doing the Austin Powers “Yeah baby” or Borat “My wife” things like two or three months after the rest of the world got tired of them? That’s the guy. That’s the one who will do this to you. Bet the house on it.

Anyway, in the video, Benioff explained, while surrounded by strewn about piles of money, “We’re sorry for all the idiots who be will shouting ‘Hodor’ now every time you go through a door,” with Weiss adding, “We forgot how annoying people can be. That’s our bad.” You know what? Fair enough. Apology accepted.
