‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown Has No Clue What Justice Means, But She Knows Barb Deserves It

Spoilers ahead, sort of!

Chelsea Handler scored an interview with Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things for her Netflix talk show, which is not actually all that surprising since they all work for the same streaming service. Handler’s biggest question for the kids was about one cast member we haven’t seen much of since the series exploded in popularity this summer, asking whether or not Barb would be making a return appearance.

Brown said that series creators the Duffer Brothers have mentioned that there would be justice for Barb, although she’s not entirely sure what justice means. “You can’t use your accent to pretend that you don’t understand English,” Handler joked after a failed attempt at defining the word.

As it turns out, Handler had a surprise for Matarazzo’s 14th birthday: a birthday cake brought out by none other than Barb herself (a.k.a. actress Shannon Purser) in her first televised interview since the series debuted. Purser seemed pretty delighted with the attention her character has been getting, telling Handler, “Suddenly it blew up and people were tweeting about Barb, and you know, I didn’t think anybody would care, and they did, and it’s been awesome!”

NOT CARE ABOUT BARB?! As if! Unfortunately we’ll probably have to just settle for justice for Barb, since the last we saw her she was in the upside down place with a slug coming out of her mouth. At least it was a nice reminder that #BarbLivesMatter, though.
