The Golden Globes (NBC, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) — Ricky Gervais reprises his role as the host of the Golden Globe Awards and either kills it or alienates half of Hollywood. Or both?

Shameless (Showtime, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — It’s baaaaa-aaaack! The Gallagher clan storms back into your life and probably steals $20 out of your purse while you’re not looking in the season six premiere.

Downton Abbey (PBS, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Mrs. Hughes and Carson try to plan their wedding, but can’t settle on a venue for the reception, so the whole thing teeters on calamity.

Madam Secretary (CBS, 8:00 p.m.) — Someone pulls the rug out from under Elizabeth while she’s in the 25th hour of peace negotiations with Russia, which seems like a wildly inconvenient time to have a rug pulled out from under you.

The Simpsons (FOX, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) — Homer buys mutant “milk” to help Bart hit puberty earlier than normal so that he can hit on his new teacher, who’s guest-voiced by Sofia Vergara. Ay, caramba!

NFL Playoffs (NBC, Four games throughout the weekend) —

  • Chiefs at Texans at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN
  • Steelers at Bengals at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday on CBS
  • Seahawks at Vikings at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday on NBC
  • Packers at Redskins at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday on FOX

The Good Wife (CBS, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Road trip! The whole Florrick clan crams onto a tour bus to head to the Iowa Caucuses, where Peter raises the stakes and rolls the dice with a risky political stunt.

Family Guy (FOX, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Stewie becomes the primary bread-winner of the Griffin household when he’s cast in a peanut butter commercial. Now all they need is some jelly and they’ll be able to throw one hell of a picnic.

Bordertown (FOX, Sunday 9:30 p.m.) — We all get a glimpse into our future under the rule of President Trump when the residents vote to erect a wall along the border.

CSI: Cyber (CBS, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but a plane vanishes and the team has to try to find out where it went by tracing the person(s) who hacked into the air traffic control database.
