Lunar Eclipse (Outside) — It’s the first time that a lunar eclipse has coincided with the winter solstice in almost 400 years. The best place to view total eclipse will be in North America (U-S-A! U-S-A!), and the event will reach its climax at 2:41 a.m. Eastern/11:41 p.m. Pacific. Not quite as moving as a total eclipse of the heart, but it’s better than reruns.
Million Dollar Money Drop (Fox) — Series premiere. The otherwise talented Kevin Pollak hosts this game show that gives contestants a million dollars up front. The catch? They have to answer questions correctly to keep the money.
Inside R. Kelly (BET) — I wonder if BET will have to blur out the faces of the underage girls.
The Sing-Off (NBC) — Season finale. Thank God.
Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It (VH1) — Season finale. Good timing on this one, as Michaels is scheduled to be the first major celebrity death of 2011.
Monday Night Football (ESPN) — Bears at Vikings. To be played outdoors in the University of Minnesota’s stadium, because the tarp covering the Metrodome wasn’t load-bearing. Once again, Kissing Suzy Kolber will be running a live-blog.
