I work from home during the day, which means I watch a lot of daytime TV. The schedule is a desolate wasteland of dumb game shows, dumber talk shows, and reruns of “Law & Order: SVU” aimed at bored housewives and retirees. Since this is the target audience, I also see tons of commercials for stuff like medical supplies, nonsense kitchen gizmos, and drug recall lawsuits. One of the commercials I see a lot is for 1-800-PetMeds, where a very pretty lady explains to the home viewer how they can get discounted medicHOLY SH-T LOOK AT THAT DOG. IT IS SO TINY. IT LOOKS LIKE A STUFFED ANIMAL OF A DOG THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TO A LITTLE GIRL. OR THE DOG VERSION OF THAT BEAR FROM THE DOWNY COMMERCIALS. BUT IT IS REAL. I CHECKED. IT MOVES AND EVERYTHING.
I actually looked into this, and it turns out the dog is a Pomeranian named Bella who won a spot in the commercial after winning PetMeds Cutest Pet contest back in 2011. To recap: So far today I have watched a bunch of horrible television and researched a tiny dog I saw on a commercial for pet medicine. I am making excellent use of my law degree.
