It looks like The Game is headed back to court to fight a sexual assault case that has put a stain on an otherwise productive 2016 for him. Last month a jury decided Game had to pay over $7 million to Priscilla Rainey for the alleged assault, but he’s not handing over that cash without a fight. TMZ reports that he’s filed paperwork in an effort to bring the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals in hopes to get a new trial and/or a reduction in the punitive damages awarded to Rainey.

Game was accused of tricking Rainey, a contestant on his VH1 reality dating show She’s Got Game, into going out on a date with him that she believed was mandatory for the show, and then reaching underneath her dress and rubbing her “bare vagina and buttocks” without her consent. Rainey alleged that he was intoxicated at the time and sued for $10 million, eventually being award the $7 million settlement after fighting the case in court for over a year.

Game’s complaint centers around a “prejudicial” video showed to the jury during the initial case showing a confrontation between the two parties, as well as the judge’s refusal to delay the case when he was unable to attend due to a severe tooth infection that required an emergency surgery.

Rainey and her attorney Brad Williams released a statement to Bossip saying, ““We are not at all concerned by the recent filings.”
