Kevin Garnett Is ‘Definitely’ Re-Signing With The Timberwolves

Within this news item from TwinCities about how the Timberwolves acquired the draft rights to Tyus Jones from Cleveland, there’s also a quick item indicating that Kevin Garnett will be back with the ‘Wolves next year. According to the report, the signing has not yet been announced, but Garnett will “definitely” be returning to Minnesota for a record-tying 21st NBA season.

Garnett rejoined the ‘Wolves for five games last year after a trade from the Nets in February for Thad Young. As was the case at the end of last season, it’s assumed he will be there to provide a continued leadership presence for young players Andrew Wiggins, as well as first overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns.

As for Garnett’s future beyond the 2015-16 season? Who knows, but he can dare to dream.
