The world is a cynical, cold place. Sometimes, we need a reminder that not everything is so bad. So, how about some cute babies racing across a basketball floor during a Sacramento Kings game? That ought to make everyone’s day.
You can marvel at the video above and melt at how adorable the whole thing is. Not us, though. We’re going to instantly judge each and every one one of them. This is the Internet, after all, which means we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least power rank/grade these kids to the harshest extent possible:
6. Slow Starter Baby: This baby gets going eventually, but as far as interesting toddlers go, this one barely moves the meter.
5. The Crying Baby: From the beginning, crying kid on the left doesn’t even give this race a try. Somehow, I can’t help but think this is Cam Newton’s fault.
3-4 (tie). The Sitting Babies: Wow, these kids have no work ethic. Just think everything’s going to be handed to them. Typical millennials.
2. Winning Baby: This baby actually came in first place. Sure, she doesn’t check off all the physical boxes — she won’t blow you away at the combine — but you can’t measure grit.
1. Napping Baby: Midway through the race, this kid decided he had something better to do. So, he took a nap. Good news, kid: That’s basically college.
