That’s Damian Lillard draining a game- and series-winning jumper to beat the buzzer against the Houston Rockets in the 2014 playoffs. Defending the Portland Trail Blazers superstar was Chandler Parsons, who bolted cross-state for the Dallas Mavericks in free agency the following summer.
So what did Parsons – who didn’t leave Houston under great terms, by the way – forecast midway through the fourth quarter of Thursday’s hotly-contested game between the Rockets and Blazers? Another Lillard walk-off, naturally.
That’s an absolutely sublime blend of shade and self-deprecation.
Parsons’ prophecy, by the way, didn’t quite come true. Houston came back from a massive second-half deficit to beat Portland 119-105 behind 46 points from James Harden.
