The Cleveland Cavaliers barely eeked out an 87-86 win against the lowly Sixers this afternoon, and there was a scary moment midway through fourth quarter after Kevin Love came up wincing and headed straight for the locker room. He did not return.
There’s already been plenty of distractions for the Cavs the past few weeks with all the “he said-he said” between Love and his not-quite-BFF LeBron James, and an untimely injury to one of the key components of their championship aspirations surely would throw a wrench in that endeavor.
But despite the fact that Love’s back has been ailing him on-and-off all season, coach David Blatt said after the game that this latest injury isn’t serious and that he expects Love to be back in action Thursday for the Cavs’ game against the Miami Heat.
Love finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds on 4-for-10 shooting from the field.
