The NBA is a brotherhood. Look no further than the league’s collective reactions to season-ending injuries of Paul George and Julius Randle as evidence of that heart-warming fact. And after the Los Angeles Lakers nipped the Indiana Pacers at Staples Center last night, Indy’s two-time All-Star exchanged words of encouragement on rehabilitation with his rookie counterpart.
Candace Buckner of The Indianapolis Star first reported the scene yesterday afternoon:
Happening right now outside #Pacers locker room, #Lakers rookie Julius Randle asked Paul George to come out & talk. Both out for season

The Lakers and 710 ESPN LA’ Dave Shore provided photo documentation of the meeting between George and Randle:

Awesome.
What motivation for an impressionable youngster like Randle to receive advice from an established star like George, all of 24 years-old himself. And if the rapid progress of both players is any indication, they’ll be back on the floor performing better than ever in no time.
