The Golden State Warriors beat the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, 113-109, and there were two great Steph Curry moments.
First, he clowned the entire New Orleans defense to set up a Draymond Green three. Then there was the supremely fun moment above which involved canning a triple and dapping up a Pelicans’ assistant coach.
This, on the surface, is equal parts awesome and disrespectful, because it takes a special kind of arrogance to demand dap from an opposing assistant. But as it turns out this isn’t as bad as it appears. The assistant in this video is Darren Erman, who was a coach for the Dubs from 2010-14 and got fired for secretly recording conversations between coaches and players.

If he makes it, it’s a good shot,’ trying to encourage their defense. So I wanted a little praise for that good shot I made. He gave it to me, so he was a good sport.”
This is such a delightful quote from Curry. Hell, take back everything about this not being disrespectful – this is so wonderfully cocky that he earned, like, a two-day ban on the internet making 3-1 jokes or something. In the immortal words of Stephen A. Smith…
