Nike Rewarded A Student Who Gifted His Teacher His Favorite Air Jordan Sneakers

Last week, a high school student named Hector surprised his teacher by giving him a pair of Jordan XIIs — sneakers the teacher said that he’s wanted since he was 12 years old. In the video, Hector gives a little speech before presenting the shoes to his teacher, and his teacher freaks out.

“These are for you, for always keeping it real with me and always keeping it 100 with me,” Hector says in the video. “You told me sophomore year that this was your favorite shoe and this was your favorite size, and you don’t even remember.”

Nike caught the video, and sent Hector an incredibly rare pair of red and white Jordan XIIs. In the shoebox, there was a note that read, “Your teacher inspired you. You inspired us. Continue to be the change you want to see.”

With so much going on in the world, there aren’t enough feel good stories out there — especially ones about students doing nice things for teachers. It’s pretty cool for Nike to recognize someone doing a good thing and paying it forward.

The red and white Jordan XIIs were released back in July, so they’ve only been on the market for a couple of months. Needless to say, Hector got hooked all the way up.
