Michelle Obama Rides Shotgun With James Corden For A ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Taping

Fresh off of a real roller coaster of a karaoke car ride with Selena Gomez, James Corden announced what may be the coolest carpool karaoke guest he’s had riding shotgun yet. Without mincing words, The Late Late Show host made a surprise appearance on Michelle Obama’s inaugural Snapchat voyage (pun intended) to announce he and the First Lady would be joining up to sing some songs and jam out. Fans of the feature even got a great look at all of the cameras and rigs it requires to get the perfect shot of Corden and his celebrity friends while they belt their favorite tunes. Hint, it takes a lot. So much that it’s a wonder how everyone’s favorite British late-show host actually sees through the windshield well enough to drive.

Now that Obama’s appearance has been confirmed for the segment, we can hop to it making a list of the most likely song choices FLOTUS could have gone with for her turn in the passenger seat.

1. “Waterfalls” by TLC – Corden proved he can nail a tough rap with “Guns and Ships”, so he can definitely handle Left Eye’s verse. If Michelle took that part on, we would actually die.

2. “Let It Go” from FrozenShe has to appeal to the families out there watching, and what better than 5-year old’s favorite ear worm of all time?

3. Anything from Hamilton Yes, Lin-Manuel Miranda already went on the show. But it’s definitely the Obama’s favorite musical of the moment (isn’t it everyone’s?) and she could kill the runs in “Satisfied.”

4. “Lift Off” by Kanye, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé – She gets to represent Chicago while also picking a Beyoncé song. A win all around!

5. “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift – Twenty bucks says FLOTUS loves Taylor Swift. She would gain so many more fans.

She might sing all of these songs (not very likely) or none of them (extremely likely because we’re bad at guessing), but no matter what there is no way this installment of “Carpool Karaoke” doesn’t land near the top of the list for best in the history of the segment. Plus, what are the chances she convinced Sasha and Malia to be her backup singers for a song or two?
