Jennifer Lawrence is the ultimate jokester to hear any of her co-stars tell the tale. She was raised in a family of boys and quickly learned to roll with the prank-filled punches. She’s also about to put the Hunger Games franchise to rest and looking to mix things up on an otherwise humdrum press tour. Well, other than the moment Lawrence gave us an Oscar preview by tripping (again) on the red carpet in Madrid.
This interview was set up as a prank from Smosh on behalf of Dylan Miceli-Nelson, who led an awkward discussion with the normally ebullient star. Miceli-Nelson was attempting to prank Lawrence with the help of his associates. Little did he know that Lawrence turned the prank tables on him with the help of her co-stars, including Liam Hemsworth. Miceli-Nelson pretended to flub Lawrence’s film history, made bad jokes about “Peeta” bread, acted generally rude. He poked fun at Lawrence’s grueling schedule and rubbed in his point by ripping off his shoes at a press junket. Lawrence wasn’t impressed and threw all of his antics right back in his face.
Before all was said and done, Lawrence stormed out on the “disrespectful” Miceli-Nelson, but it was all a double prank. How meta.
