Ab-Soul Returns With His New Album ‘Do What Thou Wilt’ And You Can Stream It Right Now

Ab-Soul’s Do What Thou Wilt is finally available and comes just in time to cause everyone to reorder their album of the year lists.

The follow-up to 2014’s These Days… hosts 16 songs in total. A quarter of the album was shared before it was released since the fiery track “Huey Knew” and “Braille” came out in previous weeks and “D.R.U.G.S.” and “Raw (Backwards)” both made their way to the ‘net on Thursday. The project hosts a good number of guest spots from the likes of Schoolboy Q, SZA, Mac Miller, Rapsody, TDE president Punch, Da$h and production from Thundercat, Sounwave, Willie B, Tae Beast and more.

The release is Soulo’s fourth studio project and the fifth one of 2016 for Top Dawg. You’ll remember, the label promised to deliver six studio albums from their roster this year. So far, everyone’s shared a new work in 2016: Kendrick had untitled, unmastered, Schoolboy gave us the now Grammy-nominated Blank Face LP, Isaiah Rashad put out his sophomore release The Sun’s Tirade and newcomer Lance Skiiiwalker debuted Introverted Intuition. That would leave Jay Rock or SZA as the last two possibles to fulfill the prophecy with SZA being the most likely selection since her project is apparently finished.
