Who knows how many times Drake tried hitting this crazy half-court shot before actually sinking the amazing three. It really doesn’t matter because whether you call it straight up skills or just plain old luck, buckets is buckets!
The basketball-loving rapper uploaded a quick clip of him fooling around at Atlanta’s Philips Arena. While literally laying down on his back, Drake drained a half-court three before getting up and confidently walking away while excited friends cheered on in total disbelief. Pretty damn good for a guy who’s a card-carrying member of BrickSquad and Air Ball Nation.
Despite not being very good at the sport (and that’s okay!), Drake and basketball go together like Drake and the feels. The 29-year-old rapper frequently references his favorite sport in his music, most famously, being “Steph Curry with the shot, boy.” And when he’s not spotted going extra hard for the Toronto Raptors as a global ambassador and doing all he can to nab The North a dub, he can be found sitting courtside and cheering on whatever basketball team is favored to win a big championship. Not to mention his close relationship with the University of Kentucky that resulted in the team getting hit with another NCAA violation in July for a picture the rapper snapped with Tyler Ulis last year. The Boy has a serious case of the basketball jones!
