Watch This Felon Attempt To Sing An Apology At His Sentencing As A Last Minute Reprieve

Sentencing hearings are bound to be theatrical places, emotions are running high and lives are being changed permanently. But 21-year-old Brian Earl Taylor took it to a new level when he put on a show prior to his sentence being handed down. The felon, convicted of unlawful imprisonment and illegal possession of a firearm, sang an apology for his actions..

“”Hello there, your honor. I want to say I’m sorry for the things I’ve done,” he sang. “And I’ll try and be stronger in this life I chose, but I want you to know — that door, I closed.

“And your honor I’m sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry,” he sang before extending the same refrain to the victim and his mother.

According to the Ann Arbor News, Taylor was asking for a reduced sentence of 36 months so that he could finish school at Eastern Michigan University. However, his song did little to move the judge who said that he was “obviously a talented young man” but added that the minimum guideline range for his crimes was 50 to 100 months. Ultimately, Taylor was sentenced to up to 17 years in prison. He was sentenced to two years on the firearms charge and 18 months to 15 years on the illegal imprisonment charge.

Maybe when he gets out, he can pull a team up in a duo with the hot felon.
