Harry Styles Soars Over Mountains In His ‘Sign O’ The Times’ Video

After teasing it out last week, Harry Styles came through today with the first video from his debut, self-titled solo album. The visuals for his lead single “Sign O’ The Times,” are absolutely breathtaking. Filmed on Scotland’s Isle of Skye, the video shows Styles soaring over a gorgeous landscape of golden fields, lush forests, and tall mountains. He even walks on water. Draw your own conclusions from that particular set-piece.

What’s truly incredible, is that Harry decided not to go with a stunt-double and filmed all of those flying scenes himself while suspended from a helicopter, sometimes from as high as 1,500 feet in the air. Talk about a dedication to your craft! That height is both taller than the tips of the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building.

“Sign O’ The Times” was our first taste of Harry’s post-One Direction musical endeavors. Speaking to Cameron Crowe in Rolling Stone, Styles revealed that the song, “Is written from a point of view as if a mother was giving birth to a child and there’s a complication. The mother is told, ‘The child is fine, but you’re not going to make it.’ The mother has five minutes to tell the child, ‘Go forth and conquer.'”

Harry Styles is set to drop this Friday, May 12. You can watch the death-defying video above.
