The NFL Honored Victims Of The Paris Attacks With A Pretty Great Tribute

The NFL hasn’t always had the best track record with supporting good causes when it goes against their norm (see DeAngelo Williams), but thankfully in the wake of the Paris attacks earlier this week, the league is taking steps to ensure that they honor the victims of the attacks during Sunday’s slate of games.

The league came out and said that it would not fine players for showing support for Paris on their uniforms, which while it seems like a no-brainer is actually relatively surprising considering how insanely strict they have been all season on uniform violations even when it’s for a good reason. The league also announced, (per Roger Goodell) that there would be a moment of silence at each NFL stadium to honor the victims before each kickoff on Sunday, including this one in Philadelphia.

The tributes weren’t just on the field either, as the NFL Network also took time out of their pregame show, NFL GameDay to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks.

Players also came out onto the field holding the French flag in Baltimore, reminiscent of Army doing the same thing before their game on Saturday.

Good move for once, NFL.
