The First Goal Of The 2015 Stanley Cup Final Was An Amazing Deflection By Alex Killorn

If you were tuning into Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Lightning and Blackhawks in hopes of seeing a great goal, you certainly didn’t have to wait very long.

Lightning forward Alex Killorn scored the first goal of the series just under five minutes into the opening game on Wednesday night, and he did so on a highlight-reel dandy that featured an incredible display of hand-eye coordination. With his back to the net, Killorn managed to tip a shot out of mid-air and redirect it past Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford, sending Amalie Arena in Tampa into a raucous frenzy.

Saying that there’s plenty of hockey left to play would be a massive understatement, but there’s a good chance we may not see a more impressive goal in this series than the very first one.
