A Man Was Shot In The Head After The Cowboys-Patriots Game

A fight in the AT&T Stadium parking lot turned ugly Sunday evening following the Cowboys 30-6 loss to the Patriots. According to police, one man was shot in the head during the scuffle.

Several people, including Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill, tweeted out the details moments after it happened.

That last tweet is awfully disturbing.

Moreover, an officer at the scene said police had no idea what started the fight:

At this point, we’re not sure what led up to the altercation or the fight. We understand there was probably a lot of people here, so there’s a lot of interviews to be done.

The suspect was arrested after running from police and tripping over a retaining wall. He sustained injuries as a result.

This is an ugly reminder that NFL games just aren’t fun to attend. In fact, as evidenced by this this incident and hundreds of others over the years, it’s dangerous both for home and visiting fans. Watch the games from the comfort of your home. Grab a beer, pop a squat on the couch, and scream at the team you hate in peace.

You’ll thank me later when you haven’t been shot in the head simply for telling someone, “I don’t like your team.”
