The Falcons’ Twitter Account Is Stunting On The Browns After Taylor Gabriel’s Big Game

Taylor Gabriel has been a revelation as yet another weapon on the outside for the Atlanta Falcons, and the young wide receiver from Abilene Christian had himself a day on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. With the two teams knotted at 10-10, Gabriel caught a short pass on the outside from Matt Ryan and scampered around Arizona’s defense to the end zone for a 35-yard touchdown.

Later in the game, the Falcons called Gabriel’s number again while holding a 24-13 lead in the second half and the 5-foot-8 speedster did it again. Oh, and the play call was exactly the same, with Gabriel scoring from 25 yards out the second time around.

While both plays were designed and executed well by the entire team, Gabriel displayed fantastic elusiveness and quickness to make the most of the blocking afforded to him. Following the second touchdown scored by the 25-year-old, his team also made it a point to lob some shade in the direction of the Cleveland Browns, who elected to part ways with Gabriel in September.

It almost seems unfair that an already dynamic offense like the Falcons could add another valuable option from a winless outfit in the Browns, but it is also another reminder that some franchises can’t get things right while others take advantage. Taylor Gabriel looks like a tremendous addition and the Browns remain the Browns.
