Julian Edelman and Malcolm Butler of the Super Bowl XLIX champion New England Patriots joined actor Josh Duhamel onstage at the Grammys tonight to present an award. No fantastic abs or game-winning interceptions were had. However, Edelman made his best attempt at being a comedian and Butler had some difficulties with the teleprompter, leading to an incredibly awkward 5-second silence:
Despite the weird exchange, Duhamel was able to do what he does best and steer the presentation toward its intended goal. Meanwhile, what he hell happened to Edelman’s beard? Super Bowl champions or not, post-season physical changes of such a drastic nature aren’t allowed.
