The Best Zombie Kills From This Week’s Episode Of ‘The Walking Dead’

Fans of The Walking Dead are a fickle bunch. First, they complain about things getting too boring in Alexandria. It’s all cocktail parties and spaghetti dinners and secret desires. Snore! Then, the show gets back to some serious zombie business, and the producers are pilloried for killing too many favorites in the span of five minutes. That’s just the way the zombie apocalypse rolls, mang. If you don’t like it, stay behind the town walls.

But for all the horrific zombies killing, there was also some epic zombie killing from our gang. And we’ve got the best Zombie Kills of the Week right here for you to enjoy, because f*ck zombies. F*ck them right in the face with a semi-automatic at point blank range.

Noah gets a good one in before heading to lunch. This is the ol’ shotgun butt to the noggin, proof that Noah was really getting the hang of zombie killing. Too bad he ended up becoming just another footnote in the revolving door of characters on the show.

Glenn puts one straight through the skull, splattering the camera with gore. The SFX guys on The Walking Dead really seem to be enjoying that effect lately, what we like to call the “Blomkamp.”

The real superstar of this episode is without a doubt Abraham, who went Old Testament on the zombie horde at the construction site. Here he is getting a rescue twofer, which earns him extra points for precision shooting under duress.

My ears are ringing just imagining these bursts of gunshot going off under a space like this, but you can’t deny how badass these kills are. Totally worth the tinnitus.

The best part about this one is the big smile on Abraham’s face as he does what he does best: smash skulls. Right down the middle!

And the Zombie Kill of the Week goes to:

Abraham for this amazing mace murder of two zombies. It’s like a fine wine: not only is it excellent at first taste, there’s multiple levels of flavor to appreciate. The twirl on the first zombie. The brain matter bouncing off the table. The head of the mace flying off after the second kill. And check out the jazz hands on Wendy Walker as she goes down. Ta-daa!
