While all of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segments generally require singing from all parties involved, they usually don’t have any sort of competition. Yet Carrie Underwood found herself challenged on the spot by James Corden for a note-holding battle, which did not go her way. As she noted by the end, it resembled the most annoying sound in the world from Dumb and Dumber.
But musical challenges weren’t the only thing that went down. We got the expected, like Corden and Carrie Underwood singing her hits, but Underwood also got to bring up her love of Wham, how hot it is when her husband knocks someone’s tooth out, and she got a chance to take Corden shopping for new boots.
I’m starting to think that Corden is just using the carpool lane to knock out his clothing shopping. After his last trip to the store with Justin Bieber, he just happens to need some boots while Carrie Underwood is in tow. He says that he wanted to “make waves into country music,” but it seems more like Corden just wants to fill up his closet.
