A few months ago we mentioned that Brett Ratner and Bill Lawrence wanted to bring Rush Hour to the small screen. Well, it looks like CBS does as well:

CBS has ordered a drama pilot based on the “Rush Hour” action pic franchise starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

The Warner Bros. TV pilot was written by comedy vets Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick. “Rush Hour” director Brett Ratner and producer Arthur Sarkissian are exec producing with Lawrence, McCormick and Jeff Ingold of Lawrence’s Doozer Prods. banner.

Bill Lawrence’s involvement is the most hopeful news for the series. At the very least, the show won’t focus solely on offensive radio touching and miscommunication of words.
