‘The Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus’ New Biker Series Gets A Premiere Date On AMC

Norman Reedus became infamous in 1999 with the release of the cult classic The Boondock Saints, but many felt that Reedus would never escape that level of fringe popularity again. Sure, there was a Boondock Saints II ten years later, but he would forever be Murphy MacManus to the world. Then something kinda crazy happened in 2010 and AMC’s The Walking Dead hit it big. When I say big, I mean one of the biggest shows on television today.

Reedus, who plays beloved antihero Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, has now gone from a cult hero who could make appearances at Comic Cons across America while fans would whisper “Aequitas” lovingly in his ear to a superstar. While his role in The Boondock Saints will always be fondly remembered, he’ll now forever be known as Daryl and instead, fans are biting him. AMC has decided to hop onto the Norman Reedus hype wagon by giving him his own reality television series, Ride with Norman Reedus.

Ride with Norman Reedus is set to be a six-episode television event that will air on AMC this summer. According to Deadline, Ride with Norman Reedus will make its debut on Sunday, June 12th at 10pm, directly following the much-anticipated Preacher. Will it be like Jesse James’ Motorcycle Mania III where James rode through the highways of America with Kid Rock while contemplating life and success? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. AMC promises that Reedus will ride the country along with guests like Robert Rodriguez, Peter Fonda and Balthazar Getty while exploring custom shops and motorcycle culture.
