Now that the burning anger stemming from The Walking Dead’s frustrating season 6 cliffhanger ending is behind us, we can look forward to the nitty gritty regarding what we’ll be seeing come season 7 episode 1. Someone is going to die. And while fans of the comic book know exactly what happened, and fans of the show think they know what happened, all we really know is that Negan’s baseball bat lovingly named “Lucille” will be cracking someone upside the head.

…leading to the death of Glenn is one of the most brutal and shocking kills in the entire series. It’s truly terrifying. To think that fans will endure the caving in of someone’s skull is pretty shocking, but looking at this FX test by series director and executive producer Greg Nicotero, it looks like we’ll be seeing it. And by “it” I mean the brains of one of Rick’s crew.
Unless, of course, this test has nothing to do with Negan and Lucille. Lots of heads explode in The Walking Dead, so perhaps this is just another zombie. Or, judging by its outward explosion, a gunshot victim.
