E!’s New Original Series ‘The Arrangement’ Takes On Scientology And Tom Cruise

E! released the first promo trailer to their second original scripted series The Arrangement on Monday. The romantic drama takes on Scientology and makes hints of Tom Cruise’s rumored marriage contract with Katie Holmes and alleged wife auditions.

The brand new show follows the budding romance of movie star Kyle West, played by Josh Henderson, and Megan Morrison, played by Christine Evangelista, as they get a chance to work on a blockbuster movie together. When things start to heat up between the duo off camera, West, who’s a member of something called the “Institute of the Higher Mind” presents Morrison with a $10 million marriage contract.

Actor Michael Vartan plays Terrance Anderson, who is the leader of the “Institute” and West’s mentor. He came up with the idea of the contract hoping it will put West’s life in order but the only thing missing is Morrison’s signature. Will she sign the contract or be freaked out and run for the hills?

The entertainment network ordered 10 hour-long episodes of The Arrangement. No word yet on when it will premiere.

The Arrangement follows E!’s hit show The Royals as its second scripted television drama. E! hopes their new show will be as successful as their first as The Royals garners around 1.7 million viewers per episode and was picked up for a third season in January.
