Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist has picked up Michael Cera and Kat Denning (the daughter in 40-Year-Old Virgin) in a desperate attempt to make people think that Judd Apatow is somehow involved.

Based on the novel by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, story revolves around two bridge-and-tunnel teenagers, nursing broken hearts, who fall in love during one sleepless night in New York while searching for their favorite band’s unannounced show. Peter Sollett ("Raising Victor Vargas") is directing from a script by Lorene Scafaria. [Variety]

Judging by the casting of this chick, it’s going to be some sort of goth-emo band.  Meanwhile, after parlaying his role on Arrested Development into star turns in Superbad and Juno, Cera’s quickly gaining "dude that’s in everything" status a lá Shia LaBeouf.

Sadly, this movie is going to suck.  How do I know?  Because the title sucks.  If you don’t have sense enough to name something cool, you probably don’t have sense enough make a cool movie. I refuse to listen to Death Cab for Cutie, Pretty Girls Make Graves for the same reason. I also will not associate with guys named ‘Cody’.
