Let’s Liveblog Monday’s Geeky TV: ‘Gotham’ Brings Back Everybody

Last week on Gotham:

Really, I should just GIF the most ridiculous moment from this show every week and use that as the plot summary. Anyway, the Penguin is back to being evil, and solving his problems with explosive weapons. And now that Theo Galavan is out of the way, our doughty band of heroes can focus on Indian Hill, the supervillain factory built with the old Wayne fortune. And not a minute too soon, as last week’s episode ended with a cliffhanger of roasted Selina. Yes, once again they remembered there’s a future Catwoman on this show.

This week, it appears that once again Bruce is going to confront a supervillain, forgetting he’s a middle-schooler and that criminals aren’t generally intimidated by people who haven’t gone through puberty yet. It also appears that, shockingly, Hugo Strange declaring Barbara sane was a bit premature, and that this may come back to bite him. Oh, also, Fish Mooney is back, newly revived from the dead and seemingly feeling a lot better. Whether this is good news or bad for the cast is an open question, but it probably means poor Butch, who’s lost his girlfriend and is seemingly trapped in a codependent relationship with the Penguin, is getting screwed over again. Hey, maybe they’ll finally make that joke about Penguins eating Fish? We’ll find out tonight at 8 p.m. EST on Fox. Join us, won’t you?
