Well, today has been quite the busy day for Destiny Hope Cyrus, better known to you as Miley Cyrus. In between her fairly groundbreaking interview with Paper Magazine in which she described her sexuality as “fluid,” essentially trying to deconstruct the labels of the sexual binary, a new song also popped onto the Internet. You know, both are important.

“Nightmare,” the latest song from Miley, has the sound of an upbeat version of “Wrecking Ball” with an almost baroque twist. This may be an outtake from Bangerz, but if it is something new, it’s definitely in a more refined and mature direction. Musically, Miley has experienced a lot of growth working with the Flaming Lips, ILoveMakonnen, Laura Jane Grace and Joan Jett to name a few. And that’s in addition to her work trying to help homeless teens.

Of course, there is still stuff like her posing nude with her pig, wearing penis-shaped flip flops, and asking fans to “suck her f*cking p*ssy,” but still, a lot of growth! Relax, she’s just bein’ Miley.
