What you see above is not Steven Tyler’s Halloween get-up. Rather, that’s the aftermath of the Aerosmith frontman passing out in a hotel shower in Paraguay, which Tyler says was caused by a bad case of “Montezuma’s revenge,” also known as traveler’s diarrhea.
“You can’t handle the tooth,” the almost annoyingly chipper Tyler joked on the Today Show this morning about his newly mangled face. He also insisted that the fall had nothing to do with him falling off the wagon, saying, “That’s not the issue…and anybody who knows anybody who uses substances wouldn’t be up at this hour having a talk with Matt Lauer and the rest of America. It’s nothing I don’t understand. It makes me a little upset. But I get that people think that. It’s something that bothers me and it’s something I’ll have to deal with for the rest of my life.”
Color me skeptical, but whatever.
Additionally, Tyler told Matt Lauer that he still took the stage last night despite his fugly appearance.
“I went out on stage and wore my sunglasses for the first song. I took them off and the crowd roared. It’s all about playing to the people. … We rocked. … Not only did I break my face, but we broke a house record, so life is beautiful, Matt.”
Yeah, dude is definitely dabbling in the booger sugar again. He’s just way to spry about all this so early in the morning. Cocaine Spider knows what I’m talking about.
