NBA — The Magic broke out of a nine-game playoff losing streak to the Pistons and Rashard Lewis emerged from two games of uninspired play as he led Orlando with 33 points on 5-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Chauncey Billups left four minutes into the game with a strained hammy, but the refs determined that it actually happened in under 5.1 seconds. Rasheed Wallace, no doubt severely undone by the piercing wit of the above sign, managed to hit only 4-of-15 from the field. Out West, the Lakers jumped out to a big first quarter lead but permitted the Jazz to hang around for a good chunk of the game, but the Most Valuable Mamba's 34 points and Derek Fisher's 22 on 7-of-10 shooting proved too much.
