Needless to say, there was a lot of Kevin Durant merchandise available in sporting goods stores throughout Oklahoma City in the wake of his decision to spurn the Thunder. According to ESPN, one local merchandiser even decided to take extreme measures to liquidate apparel bearing the 2014 MVP’s likeness, selling its replica Durant jerseys with a pretty, pretty big discount – 99 percent, to be exact.

Yes, Academy Sports+Outdoors is selling Durant Thunder jerseys for the low price of 48 cents, down from their original list price of $69.99. Even though a lot of Oklahoma City residents are angry with Durant for leaving the Thunder to form a super team in Golden State, apparently that was a discount that just could not be denied.

It was only the jerseys that were discounted so steeply, by the way. ESPN notes the store says that other Durant merchandise was discounted at a more typical rate. People in Oklahoma City probably don’t want to be seen walking around in a Durant jersey at the moment, though, so a potential buyer needed to be pretty motivated, and getting a real replica NBA jersey for less than 50 cents certainly qualifies.

Regardless, one can safely assume it will be a little pricier to get a Durant Warriors jersey.
