Before they were winning NBA championships together in Miami during the Big 3 era, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were fierce rivals on the basketball court for the majority of their careers. And it looks like their competitive nature with one another remains intact. The upcoming World Series between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians – which kicks off on Tuesday, the same night as the Cavs’ home opener to the NBA season – features two teams from their respective hometowns, so they decided via Twitter on Sunday that they’d make things a little more interesting and place a friendly wager on the outcome.
Absolutely!! We're placing a nice bet and more on this one my friend! #WorldSeries #RallyTogether

It’s nice to see them showing love for their hometown teams, especially since each of them has taken heat in the past for their Yankee fandom, LeBron in particular when he showed up to an Indians game back in 2007 wearing a dreaded Yankee cap. Wade’s incident was a bit more recent when he was spotted at Yankee stadium in 2012 – also sporting a Yankee hat – alongside Tim Tebow.
But nevermind all that. One shutters to think what “a nice bet” means to two multi-millionaire NBA superstars, but we’re guessing it’s probably something unfathomably lavish. Whatever it is, let’s just hope there’s another banana boat ride at the end of it.
