Andre Roberson Swatted Avery Bradley’s Layup Attempt Into The Middle Of Next Week

Earlier this season, Russell Westbrook started his campaign for Andre Roberson as a potential First Team All-Defense nominee. The 6-foot-7 Thunder forward is a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions, and he proved that once again on Sunday afternoon against the Celtics.

Midway through the second quarter, Roberson matched up against Avery Bradley at the top of the key, and at first glance, Bradley was able to get the step on Roberson and get into the lane for what appeared to be an easy layup. But Roberson had other ideas and absolutely erased Bradley’s shot with a mean chase-down-style block that ricocheted off the backboard and resulted in a 24-second violation.
