GIF: DeMarcus Cousins Coast-To-Coast Iron Shaker

It’s important to remember DeMarcus Cousins is 6-11 and it’s not a svelte build on that long frame either when he weighs in at 270 pounds. How else could he manhandle Tim Duncan so thoroughly earlier in the season. Before the wheels came off in the second quarter against the Mavs last night, Boogie showed once again why he’s such a dominating presence by taking the ball the length of the court for the flush.

Just watch him explode after crossing half-court, punctuated by the one-handed jam:

Cousins finished with a game-high 23 points (8/16 shooting), but 12 of those 23 came in the first session alone when the Kings were even with the Mavs. He added 11 boards, three assists two steals and a block in 37 minutes, but after the first quarter was just 4-of-10 the rest of the way and the Mavs coasted to a comfortable 101-78 win.

Still, watching Boogie handle the ball like this and swoop in for the dunk is almost worth the heartache for Kings fans in the final three quarters. Almost.

After dropping nine of their last 10, the Kings could really use Mike Malone about now.

Is there a more physically talented big man in the game today?
