The Cleveland Cavaliers are a mess right now, and it has shown in a number of the team’s results recently. The thing with this team, though, is it still has LeBron James (despite the best efforts from some other teams), so every now and then, he is able to put forth a virtuoso performance that carries the Cavs to a victory.
Cleveland took down Minnesota in overtime, 140-138, in what will go down as one of the best games this year. James played out of his mind, seeing 48 minutes of playing time and registering 37 points on 16-for-22 shooting, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds. The game’s final few seconds were among his best, as he drilled a buzzer beater to seal the win for the Cavs.

Here it is from another angle, one which shows James celebrating with his teammates after.

Just before that happened, the Timberwolves had a chance to win, and Jimmy Butler drove to the rim to try and get an easy two points. Unfortunately for him, James is a flying death machine who is capable of doing this.

For all the dysfunction that exists in Cleveland this season, it can sometimes be kinda hard to remember that having James means the Cavaliers’ issues can be minimized. When he’s locked in like he was on Wednesday night, the Cavs don’t look like a team in crisis. Rather, they look like the team that employs LeBron James.
