We’re always excited when we see little fans so excited with the NBA. Their exuberance gives us a new-found faith in humanity. This is one of those times.
With four minutes left in the third quarter last night, DeMarcus Cousins had a hard-nosed and-1 bucket fall through. His free throw missed long, but the Jazz failed to snag it and it went out-of-bounds, Sacramento ball. After Sacramento passed it around, Cousins had the ball on the block and again hit the layup — plus the foul.
Throughout this sequence, Utah’s Jack Cooley was dropped all over him and when he saw the second bucket drop, he naturally hulk flexed in appreciation of his physical dominance. A little girl sitting court-side did the same, and we just about melted at her impression:
The Kings lost, 101-95, but Cousins did his best to stave off defeat and give Kings fans — like that little girl — something to cheer about with 24 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, a steal. He also had eight turnovers, and his one-man wrecking crew wasn’t enough to get the win for the Sleep Train Arena crowd. Still, this little girl will always remember her big night watching Cousins.
