Someone Decided To Ruin Every NBA Logo In PowerPoint And Here Are The Results

A lot of effort goes into crafting NBA team logos. Sure, it may not always seem like it, but teams want to put their best face forward in their logo. Even if you don’t like the design of a logo, there is clear artistic skill, and considerable effort, that goes into making those poorly designed logos look pretty. That’s not the case with these NBA logos, though. They were actively designed to ruin your team’s logo.

Here are the parameters that were used by this NBA fan to “ruin” all 30 NBA logos. They were made entirely in PowerPoint, all font is Comic Sans, the most laughable of all fonts, and no logo took more than 30 minutes to make. The results are about what you would expect.

Some logos look essentially the same. The Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons’ logos, for example, are only different because of the use of Comic Sans. Honestly, the Nets logo is almost an improvement. Other logos, though, look awful. The hawk in the Atlanta Hawks logo is goofy as hell, the Toronto Raptors logo looks like it has some sort of melon in it, and the Milwaukee Bucks logo looks like something out of True Detective as opposed to a sports team logo.

The lesson here seems to be “Don’t make your team’s logo in PowerPoint.” It seems unlikely this was a lesson that NBA teams needed imparted upon them.
