Jimmy Fallon Foolishly Attempted To Get Shaq Drunk With Jell-O Shot Twister

Jimmy Fallon opted against a singalong or a lip-sync bit on the latest Tonight Show and instead chose to play Twister with retired NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. How did the comedic genius who has not at all stumbled into a lucrative career take it to the next level? Jello-O shots.

Doing alcohol-filled Jell-O shots during a two-minute bit really adds comedy because, as we all know, everyone feels the effect of three Jell-O shots inside of 90 seconds. Especially men who are over 7 feet tall and weigh well over 300 pounds.

In Fallon’s mind, what was the ideal way for this bit to conclude? Shaq vomiting? Tearing a groin muscle? Shaq slipping, falling and crushing Fallon, thus allowing Seth Meyers to take over the other late-night talk show? That last one is probably more my ideal end to the bit than Fallon’s.

Really, what’s funny here is a large man bending. That’s the heart of the bit, along with Fallon feigning the inability to stand and lots of fake-laughing. It very likely took weeks to perfect this.

Later this week, perhaps Fallon will play Century Club with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Quarters with Larry Bird and Edward 40 Hands with Bill Russell. How the man that giggled through every SNL sketch in which he appeared has become this generation’s leading producer of hilarious content will be puzzled over by scholars for generations.
