Pretty much everything we’ve heard about the upcoming Han Solo spin-off movie has been very promising. The talented Alden Ehrenreich is a fantastic choice for young Han Solo, the movie may just have the best Star Wars script ever, and, apparently, everything’s going so well with the project, Disney is planning to expand the movie into a full trilogy.
According to inside reports from the NY Daily News, Ehrenreich has signed a three-movie deal, with Disney hoping to make more Han Solo movies should the first one be successful (and, obviously, it will be). Here’s what the inside source had to say about the mood and plans surrounding young Han’s adventures…
“There is a real sense of excitement around the Han Solo movie. Given that Han’s early adventures do not need to be tied to the Empire, it leaves storylines open with the opportunity to really give fans something different. They can explore new galaxies and crazy creatures and bring in a wide array of new characters. They feel that his character has the right potential to become a central figure in several movies. They’re keeping things under wraps at the moment, but the deal is that he has signed for at least three movies.”
Sounds like the kid has landed himself a great deal. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get cocky.
The Han Solo Anthology film is expected to shoot first on May 25, 2018.
