His latest project The Legend of Harvard Blue isn’t even a month old yet but that’s by no means slowing down Curren$y’s month-to-month grind. Since 2016 started, he’s released a new body of work on a 30-day cycle. Looking to keep the streak alive, Spitta Andretti just announced his next musical adventure called Stoned on Ocean.
He won’t be alone on the new release. Curren$y’s paired up with well known production duo Cool and Dre for Stoned…, which he describes the project as one “recorded one smoked out night in Miami.”
It’s easy to think that all of these consecutive drops could do more hurt than harm. Too often, artists churn out material without any filtering taking place beforehand or failing to properly work it on the back end. But, that hasn’t happened with Curren$y, at least not yet. He’s given most of his previous projects in 2016 their fair share of videos and done adequate pre-release rollouts either by sprinkling songs around or working his social media channels. He’s one of the originators of the formula and his fanbase has long been accustomed to his decisions to share new music on what seems like a whim.
No release date has been set just yet but expect the six-song set to arrive sooner rather than later.
