The World Of Mad Max Looks Hella Fun With Go-Karts And Paintball Guns

There’s been a bunch of great Mad Max mashups and tributes, from Conan O’Brien taking the Fury Road to Comic-Con to this Adventure Time remix of the Mad Max trailer. But now YouTube creator Devin SuperTramp may have made the best Mad Max spoof video ever, recreating some of the movie’s famous car battles with dune buggies, go-karts, and paintball guns.

Devin SuperTramp is known for making a bunch of wacky extreme sports videos (in 4K!) with names like Hobbit Heli Mountain Biking and Epic Hot Air Balloon Rope Swing. He’s worked with game companies in the past, making Far Cry 4 in Real Life and Assassin’s Creed Meets Parkour for Ubisoft. Now WB Games, the makers of the Mad Max: Fury Road video game, have sponsored the creation of this great video to promote the Sept. 1 release of their game, and does it ever look cool.

Filmed on a RED Dragon 6K camera and downscaled to a paltry 4K for YouTube, the epic go-kart battle was filmed over two days in Green River, Utah, with a mix of professional stuntmen and Devin SuperTramp’s friends (several of whom take headers off karts, or almost get decapitated when their clothing gets sucked into go-kart motors). If you like the finished product, make sure to check out the behind-the-scenes video below, which shows how much work goes into a random creation like this.
