Dory Tries Really Hard To Remember Her Mommy In The New ‘Finding Dory’ Trailer

The Ellen DeGeneres Show keeps pumping out new exclusives for Disney and Pixar’s latest film, Finding Dory, which makes perfect sense as DeGeneres lends her voice to the titular fish plagued by memory loss. The poster, the first trailer, previews of the pseudo-sequel’s new characters — Ellen’s show has the monopoly on all things Dory. Hence why the talk show host’s official YouTube channel premiered a second trailer for the film that offers more details about the story.

Thanks in part to a lesson about stingray migration, Dory’s forgotten memories about her childhood come back to her in fits and starts. She remembers having a family, especially her mother and father, and confesses to Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) that she misses them. So, they set off on a new adventure in the hopes of finding Dory’s family and filling in the missing gaps in her memory. Along the way, they reconnect with old friends and make plenty of new ones.

Pixar and Finding Nemo alum Andrew Stanton returns to write and direct the spin-off film, which also features the vocal talents of Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ty Burrell, Kaitlin Olson, Dominic West, Idris Elba and many other newcomers. Finding Dory swims back into theaters on June 17, 2016.
