Foo Fighters did their Foo Fightin’ thing on Monday night in Clarkston, Mich., rocking the masses at the DTE Energy Music Theatre until their ears were ringing and plastic beer cups were empty. And this might cause you to freeze in shock, but… Dave Grohl was awesome to a fan. I know, my monocle shattered to pieces as well, because I’d never heard of such a thing (not here or here or here or here or especially here), but apparently Grohl knows how to be nice to fans. Some might even go as far as to call him the coolest guy on the planet.
This time, Grohl invited a rockin’ fan on stage to chug a beer with him, because the fan in question was celebrating his 50th birthday. Pretty sure that’s the dream at 50 – wearing cargo shorts and a rock band baseball tee, and holding up a sign for your favorite guitar god. Then again, it’s impossible to make fun of Griffin here, because he’s the one who is the Internet’s Star of the Day in a video soon to go viral. Rock on, Griffin.
Meanwhile, I’ve been thinking a lot about something lately. How shocking would it be to find out that Grohl is a huge fraud and is secretly a supreme a-hole who beats puppies or owns a slave army of children? On a scale from one to 10, with 10 being the most shocked you could be that someone so awesome is actually a demon from hell, I’d turn it up to 11.
