I was lucky enough to see Hamilton this summer, and it was astonishingly worth all the hype that’s been surrounding it for what feels like a decade now (it’s only been on Broadway for year). Back in March, news broke that Lin Manuel-Miranda, the mastermind behind the groundbreaking smash hit, was working with Questlove on the Hamilton Mixtape, a record featuring remixes and covers of several of the musical’s nearly 50(!) songs.
Today, details for the project were finally released, and the list of contributors is nothing short of staggering, featuring collaborators including the Roots, Chance The Rapper, Nas, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, and Sia. The tape also includes several of Miranda’s demos, documenting the musical’s writing process.
According to Miranda, pre-orders for the mixtape will begin tomorrow at some point tomorrow. In the meantime, check out the artwork and tracklist below, and stream the cast recording here.
